INTERCULTURAL TRAINING – REFUGEE INCLUSION AND INCORPORATION

INTERCULTURAL TRAINING – REFUGEE INCLUSION AND INCORPORATION

This Training Seminar is addressed to:

  1. Typical and Life-long Education teachers
  2. Administrative personnel

Aim:

Incorporating refugees into the Educational System entails the provision and support of specialized teaching staff which would be aware of the refugees’ different cultural features and able to respond to their particular needs. Familiarity with teaching Greek as a second/foreign language and teaching methods in a multicultural setting would be of prime importance.

Despite the teachers’ recent experience on topics of intercultural education, due to the migrant flows, we believe that the situation today is far more profound. For this reason, we think that this seminar will cover the gap in the vocational teachers’ skill sets as far as refugee inclusion and education are concerned.

Objective: to improve and develop the competencies and skills of experienced and young educators alike, so as to be able to meet the challenges of the Programs concerning Refugee Education and Inclusion
